BARNET FOOTBALL CLUB

MEMBERS OF THE BARNET SQUAD GO BACK TO SCHOOL

It has been a busy week for members of our first team squad, with Jake Reeves, Jack Maskell, Danny Collinge and Kane Smith all attending local schools – inspiring local children.

Again, showing support to Barnet’s Walking Football Community Programme, all four of the lads were involved in a detailed Q&A – with each giving detailed answers about their careers, before signing autographs for the pupils.

On Tuesday duo Jake Reeves and Jack Maskell attended Belmont Primary School, whilst on Thursday defensive partners Danny Collinge and Kane Smith visited Saracens Broadfield Primary.

All four were joined by Shaun Sherrick and Stephen Brown from Barnet’s Walking Football Team who were on hand to present both schools with a laptop and vital school stationary – once again supporting their campaign which aims to donate as much stationary to schools in the Harrow and Barnet areas.

Askar Aslan, Barnet’s Head of Community explained: “Barnet FC in the Community is committed to putting Barnet back in the heart of the community and where better to start with than with our schools!

It was great to see our first team players, supported by members of our Walking Football team out in the community inspiring the next generation of Barnet fans.

As a result of our visit, we were able to offer all the students an opportunity to watch the stars up close at an upcoming Barnet FC game. If you would like us to visit your school, get in touch.”

Barnet’s Walking Football Teams Campaign are still in need of donations and ahead of each Barnet FC home game you can donate in Main Reception, they are looking for:

  • Paper
  • Glue sticks
  • Pens
  • Pencils
  • Whiteboard markers
  • Craft materials
  • Geometry sets
