The Bees make the long trip Southwest to face League One side Exeter City in the Emirates FA Cup first round, looking to cause a famous cup upset.
Barnet FC:
The Bees got back to winning ways on Saturday afternoon following a win over promotion rivals Rochdale at the Hive. Nicke Kabamba got the opener after just six minutes to set the Hive rocking, his seventh goal in as many games in the League. Ben Coker made it two just before half time with a wonderful right-footed goal from the edge of the box, his second of the season. Going into the second half the Bees looked comfortable until a defensive error allowed Rochdale in to score past Hayes to bring a nervy ending for the home fans inside the Hive. Barnet held on to register the three points.

Exeter City
Tomorrow’s hosts have enjoyed a good season so far in Sky Bet League One having won 6 games from their opening 12 league fixtures, drawing once and losing 5, placing them 10th in the table, just three points off the play-off places. In their last league outing they fell to defeat at Huddersfield Town, Matty Pearson opened the scoring after 16 minutes before Ben Wiles doubled the Terriers advantage in the second half sending the Grecians home with no points. Prior to their loss against Reading four days prior, they had gone six games unbeaten in all competitions and snuck their way into the play-offs in the third tier. However, the Devon side did register a win over Bristol Rovers in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday night with Jay Bird, Millenic Alli and Demetri Mitchell helping them to a narrow 3-2 win.
Exeter City last five results:
Bristol Rovers 2-3 Exeter City
Huddersfield Town 2-0 Exeter City
Exeter City 1-2 Reading
Shrewsbury 0-2 Exeter City
Exeter City 1-0 Cambridge United
In the opposite dugout:
Exeter City are currently managed by former Celtic and Wigan defender Gary Caldwell who has overseen the Devon side since 2022. The Scotsman originally took charge of Wigan after retiring from his playing career at the Latics but was unable to save them from dropping into league one with five games remaining. Following on from his time at Wigan, Caldwell has gone on to manage Chesterfield, Partick Thistle as well as Newcastle United U23’s. Since taking charge of Exeter, he has guided his side to a 14th position finish in League One.
Ones to watch:
Exeter City have lots of experience in their ranks such as former championship players Josh Magennis and Ryan Woods. Kamari Doyle the Brighton loanee has three goals to his name so far this season, he will be one to watch alongside former National League starman Millenic Alli who knows how to find the net from range.
Last time these two sides met:
The last time these two sides met was back in 2017 in League Two when the Grecians narrowed out a win over the Bees. Kane Wilson opened the scoring in the first half before Ryan Watson levelled the game up in the second half. Jake Taylor pounced in the 91st minute to seal a late winner.
