Barnet finally make their long-awaited return to the Hive on Tuesday evening, welcome Swindon Town for this Sky Bet League Two clash, as they look to stretch their undefeated run to 19 league games.
Of course, this kicks off a hectic few weeks for the Bees on home soil, with the Robins first up for Dean Brennan’s men who will be keen to build on what has been an impressive couple of weeks on the road.
Comeback victories over Bristol Rovers and Tranmere Rovers have ensured Barnet continued their impressive start to the 2026/27 League Two campaign.
A second half double from Kabongo Tshimanga was enough to secure all three points in Prenton Park for Brennan’s men in what proved to be another hard-fought afternoon on the road.
The Bees are now back on home turf, welcoming Swindon Town who themselves will be desperate for a return to winning ways – with their last victory coming back in early September.
Barnet’s Last Five:

Swindon Town:
Barnet welcome Swindon Town to The Hive on Tuesday evening for our first league clash under the lights this term and welcome a Swindon side who despite their difficult start to the campaign certainly possess some quality among their ranks.
The likes of Tom Nichols, Ollie Clark and Ryan Tafazolli certainly know the league well and will undoubtedly raise questions of Barnet on the night.
Despite their league position, victories over Colchester United, Port Vale and Cheltenham Town have certainly been high points for Ian Holloway’s side who will certainly be keen to use Tuesday’s clash to kickstart their campaign.
Â
In the dugout: Ian Holloway
Â
Experienced boss Ian Holloway certainly needs no introduction, with his spells across the Football League ensuring he is somewhat of a household name in English football.
Starting his management career with Bristol Rovers, he would later move to QPR and it’s at Loftus Road where he ignited his career on the touchline – promotion to the Championship in 2003/04 a highlight for Holloway with the R’s.
He would later join Plymouth Argyle and Leicester but a later spell with Blackpool would see Holloway’s Tangerines dramatically reaching the Premier League in 2010 – courtesy of a victory over Cardiff City at Wembley.
Holloway would pick up his third promotion in 2013 guiding his Crystal Palace side to the Premier League courtesy of another playoff victory, this time defeating Watford under the arch.
A spell with Millwall, a return to QPR and a stint with Grimsby Town would follow, before his arrival at the County Ground in October 2024.
Â
One to Watch: Aaron Drinan
28-year-old striker Aaron Drinan arrived at Swindon Town in January 2024 and has continued to impress, scoring 35 league goals in just under three years at the County Ground.
Irish born, Drinan began his career with local side Cork City, before moving to English Football in 2018 with a spell at Ipswich Town – he would later return to Ireland with stints with Waterford and Ayr before settling in East London at Leyton Orient.
And it was at Brisbane Road he flourished, with his strikes helping the O’s achieving promotion in 2023.
It has been a relatively successful start to the season for Drinan, with his hat-trick against Colchester United in September a highlight for the Robins in what has been a tough start to the season.
Â
Swindon’s last five:
Swindon Town 1-1 Walsall – Sky Bet League Two
Swindon Town 0-1 Crewe – Sky Bet League Two
Rochdale 1-0 Swindon Town – Sky Bet League Two
Swindon Town 1-1 Accrington Stanley – Sky Bet League Two
Swindon Town 0-2 Newport County – Jersey Mike’s Trophy
Â
Â
A memorable match:
Â
Swindon Town 0-2 Barnet – Sky Bet League Two – Tuesday 19th August 2025
Â
A 2-0 victory over Swindon Town in August 2025 would prove to be a memorable one for Barnet– their first win since sealing a return to Sky Bet League Two.
Late goals from Emmanuel Osadebe and Dennis Adeniran would prove to be enough for Dean Brennan’s side.
