Barnet kick off their Emirates FA Cup campaign this weekend, welcoming fellow League Two outfit Tranmere Rovers to The Hive, KO 3pm.
The Bees will be taking a pause on league action, with attentions now switching to the famous cup competition, with Dean Brennan’s side coming up against familiar opponents.
Of course, Barnet faced Tranmere only last month, with Kabby Tshimanga’s second half efforts enough to clinch all three points at Prenton Park.
The Bees will head into this one keen to build on last weekend’s draw with Crewe Alexandra, with victory last time out at The Hive something they can draw confidence from.
Remembrance Fixture:
As we welcome Tranmere Rovers, we are proud to say that this fixture will also be our dedicated Remembrance Fixture, and we will be supporting the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.
Before kick-off we will be holding a period of silence as a mark of respect to all those that have made the ultimate sacrifice in armed conflict – the Barnet FC players will also be proudly adorning poppies.
The Royal British Legion raises money to support serving members of the Armed Forces, veterans and their families.

Barnet’s Last Five:
Crewe Alexandra 1-1 Barnet – Sky Bet League Two

Barnet 1-3 Swindon Town – Sky Bet League Two

Tranmere Rovers:
Barnet welcome fellow League Two outfit Tranmere Rovers for this Emirates FA Cup clash with both sides eyeing up a cup run this term.
Following our victory over Rovers last month, Tranmere have remained undefeated, picking up victories over Northampton Town and Cheltenham Town, whilst drawing with Crawley Town.
This means as we take a pause from league action they sit in 11th place, just a point off the elusive play-off places and seven off the Bees who sit in 2nd.
As we highlighted last month, the likes of Tom Ince and Will Vaulks certainly bring a wealth of quality and experience, as shown at Prenton Park – with the former on the scoresheet with a fine effort.
In the Dugout: Darrell Clarke
Established boss Darrell Clarke joined Tranmere in May 2026, tasked with rebuilding the squad, whilst looking to improve on last season’s disappointed league finish.
Known for his spells across the Football League, Clarke enjoyed a prolonged four-year stint at Bristol Rovers between 2014 and 2018 where he achieved back-to-back promotions with the Gas men, taking them from the National League to League One.
He would later work at Walsall, Port Vale, Cheltenham Town and Barnsley before returning to Rovers in 2025.
The now 48-year-old enjoyed spent most of his playing career with Mansfield Town, Hartlepool United and Salisbury City – where he racked up over 400 appearances in the heart of midfield.
One to Watch: Will Vaulks
Experienced midfielder Will Vaulks certainly possesses a huge amount of quality and remains a key figure for Tranmere – following his summer arrival from Oxford United.
The now 33-year-old has enjoyed spells with Falkirk, Rotherham United, Cardiff City, Sheffield Wednesday and Oxford, but it was Tranmere were Vaulks begun his career, with his switch this summer completing a full circle moment for the former Welsh international.
Two strikes from 14 appearances this season included a stunning strike against the Bees and a crucial equaliser against Crawley.
Tranmere’s Last Five:
Tranmere 3-1 Cheltenham – Sky Bet League Two
Crawley Town 1-1 Tranmere – Sky Bet League Two
Northampton 0-1 Tranmere – Sky Bet League Two
Tranmere 1-2 Barnet – Sky Bet League Two
Tranmere 1-1 Rochdale – Sky Bet League Two
Last time out:
Tranmere Rovers 1-2 Barnet – Saturday 17th October 2026
A second half double from Kabby Tshimanga completed a memorable comeback victory for the Bees at Prenton Park last month.
Despite trailing through Will Vaulks’ first half effort, a second half double from our frontman wrapped up victory over Rovers – who were reduced to ten late on.
