The Bees play host to National League South side Aveley FC at the Hive tomorrow afternoon (3pm) in third round of this year’s Isuzu FA Trophy.
Barnet FC:
The Bees played out a goalless draw at Hartlepool United last weekend after a late disallowed goal from Brennan’s side denied a six-pointer week from two long away trips. In a game of few chances, it sprung into life with 20 minutes to go with the Bees having the better chances. In the final 10 minutes Ade Oluwo jumped highest to place to ball into the back of the net, only to be judged to have committed a foul in the buildup as the goal was chalked off. A glorious chance fell to Nik Tavares shortly after when he got his head on the ball from a cross, forcing the Hartlepool keeper into making one of the saves of the season from point blank range to deny Tavares with his feet. Hartlepool saw the game out with Barnet making the long trip back to North London with four points from the two away games.
