EFL WEEK OF ACTION | HIVE FOUNDATION HOST HARROW CUP

On Tuesday, as part of this week’s EFL Week of Action, the Hive Foundation hosted the Harrow Cup, a competition that helped decide the local finalists for this year’s Utilita Cup competition.

The Utilita Cup is one of the country’s largest national football competitions, aimed at school children under the age of 11.

The competition inspires children to be active, healthy, and develop a strong sense of teamwork, with the national finals being held at Wembley Stadium across the EFL play-off weekend at the end of the 2025/26 season.

The competition was rife, with a total of 32 local schools participating from around Harrow, proving to Joseph Khalfi of West Lodge Primary School, who was involved in the organisation of the tournament, that it was a huge success.

The tournament, that provided many cup upsets along the way, was also visited by all the Barnet FC First Team squad, surprising teachers and students alike and providing an inspiration to everyone involved.

The players posed for pictures and watched the action, whilst providing loads of feedback to the players, providing a experience for everyone across the board.

On the success of the tournament, Foundation Manager Aleksander Czerniec said, “It was a pleasure to host such a large-scale event and to see the top footballing talent across all of Harrow on display!”
