Community Day this year was a huge success, full of excitement and a great atmosphere as the day had loads to offer the local community and Barnet FC and London Bees fans alike.
The day kicked off with our highly successful Affiliate Cup Tournament, which was won by Pure Pro Football in the U9 category and Elite FC in the U10 category. Congratulations to the winners and to all the participants who took part.
Our 3G pitch was transformed into an inflatable arena which proved to be lots of fun for the families and kids in attendance.
Our Stadium Tours went down a treat, with an eye-opening view of the First Team dressing room, the pitch from a dugout perspective and our fantastic Boardroom. The Vanarama National League Trophy took centre stage and many a selfie was taken with the Champions trophy as a memorable backdrop.
There were also loads of fun activities for kids and sweet treats to enjoy such as candy floss, popcorn, sweet cups, face painting and temporary tattoos. It looked like the parents were just as keen on the sweets as the kids!
Barnet FC players were in attendance throughout the day, with a First Team showcase training session in the Stadium. The players chatted with everyone, signed lots of autographs and took loads of selfies.
We were also visited by dignitaries from Barnet and Harrow, including the newly appointed Mayor of Barnet Danny Rich (who has a mean right foot), the Deputy Mayor of Harrow Yogesh Teli and the former Mayor of Barnet and current Councillor Tony Vourou.
Foundation Manager, Aleksander Czerniec said,
“A big thank you to everyone who came and also to all the staff and volunteers who worked really hard behind the scenes to make the day the best it could have been. We cannot wait for our next Community Day which will be even bigger and better!”
