Barent are once again swiftly back in action on Tuesday evening, this time welcoming York City to The Hive for this Sky Bet League Two clash, KO 7:45pm.

However, we now welcome a York City side who will certainly provide their own threats and will be keen to continue their recent impressive run of form – with their last defeat coming back in mid-September.

However, the Minstermen have somewhat struggled on the road this term, with all five of their victories coming at Bootham Crescent – something they will be keen overcome sooner rather than later.
In the dugout: Scott Lindsey
Experienced boss Scott Lindsey arrived at York City in the summer, as they looked to hit the ground running upon their return to the Football League.
Having begun his management career with Lincoln City, Lindsey would later enjoy spells with Chatham Town and Swindon Town before completing a switch to Crawley Town in 2023.
It was with the Red Devils where he guided them to League One courtesy of a play-off final victory over Crewe in May 2024.
Stints with MK Dons and a return to Crawley would follow, before joining York in the summer.
One to watch: Alex Newby
Experienced striker Alex Newby arrived at York in July 2025 and the now 30-year-old has continued impress ever since.
A helpful 12 goals last term helped the Minstermen seal a return to the EFL, while a fruitful 6 from 13 appearances already this time around has certainly contributed to York’s fine start to the season and contributed to their move up the League Two table.
York’s last five:

York City 1-1 Accrington Stanley – Sky Bet League Two
Newport County 1-1 York City – Sky Bet League Two
