The Hive London was delighted to host the Harrow Primary Schools Football Tournament last Friday, as schools from across the borough competed to represent Harrow in the London Youth Games.
14 boys’ teams took part in the competition, with St Bernadette’s taking on St Teresa’s School in the final.
St Bernadette’s School were the eventual winners, and they were presented with their trophy by Barnet FC goalkeeper Graham Stack.
Meanwhile, ten teams competed in the girls’ tournament on Friday afternoon, which was won by St George’s Primary School.
They played out a hard-fought final with Whitchurch Primary School, which was watched by new London Bees Head Coach David Edmondson.
Steven Barron – Head of The Hive Foundation – revealed that the tournament was a great success, saying:
“We’re delighted to be able to host this sort of competition at The Hive London.
“The tournament was a resounding success, and all of the children taking part looked to be having a great day.
“I’d like to thank David O’Farrell, the Head Teacher of St Bernadette’s, for organising the event.
“I’d also like congratulate both our winning teams, and thank all the other schools for taking part in an enjoyable day of football!”
