The weekly, one hour sessions are delivered by The Hive Foundation football coaches and provide football activities that enhance both the physical and mental wellbeing of the participants, promoting a healthy lifestyle and fostering a sense of community, teamwork and enhanced social skills.
The football sessions provide a structured opportunity for regular physical activity, helping to combat sedentary lifestyles and obesity among children which is on the rise.
David O’Farrell, Head teacher of St Bernadettes Catholic Primary School said: “Thank-you very much for providing my Y6 children with this excellent opportunity to receive top quality coaching from The Hive Foundation at Barnet FC.
“The children are really enjoying the sessions and their skill levels and ability to use them in a match situation are really improving. This will be of great benefit to us as a school as we begin our football competitions this season.”
