It has been a busy week of activity at this week’s Hive Foundation half-term camp so far, with the children being greeted by numerous special guests throughout the week.
Â
Firstly, on Tuesday, the children had the opportunity to ask London Bees’ players Francesca Vigo and Thea Budden, plenty of insightful questions about their careers so far and what it is like being a footballer and were given a lot of insight in to the footballing world.
Â
Francesca is actively coaching at the camps during the week, demonstrating lots of knowledge to participants as the week goes on.
Â
On Wednesday, a number of Barnet FC academy scholars coached a mini-tournament between the U9 – U11s age group. The scholars shared their knowledge and were very passionate on the sideline as the tournament provided Champions League levels of drama – as the final was decided by penalties.
Â
The scholars were Theo Ajala, Kavarni Brisset-Levy, O’Zion Hussain, Mitchell Issott, Nicholas Kilimonis, Aaron Liwala, Najet Villarreal, Anthony Haralambous and Noye Richard.
Â
The Hive Foundation continues to strive on bringing all the Bees’ football groups together in order to make an impact on the wider community – with warm lunches, a new goalie session and unforgettable footballing memories, the camps continue to grow and become a better all-round experience.
Â
Community Manager, Aleksander Czerniec said,
Â
“Having been involved in delivery of camps over the last few years, I am excited about the changes that are occurring and are yet to come in the foreseeable future. Having such a strong link between ourselves and our partners is extremely important”.
Â
There are still spaces available following the link here and we are expecting the Barnet FC First Team to make a visit in the next two days so make sure to sign up and not miss out a spot!
