Match Report: Hemel Hempstead 2-2 Barnet

The 2025 Spencer McCall Invitational Trophy was shared by the Bees and the Tudors as they played out a 2-2 draw.

The Bees fell behind when Darion Dowrwich caught out Owen Evans at his near post – mishitting a cross into the back of the net.

Anthony Hartigan grabbed the equaliser from an excellent free-kick on the edge of the penalty area, curling the ball into the top right hand corner.

Rhys Browne put the Bees ahead from a great team move, with Glover providing the assist – pulling back perfectly for Browne to slot one in the bottom right corner.

There was less goalmouth action in the Second Half, with Brunt coming closest to finding a third, having his shot blocked on the line.

Hemel launched a few dangerous counter attacks, with Joe Rye and Nik Tavares making heroic last ditch blocks and challenges to prevent a certain equaliser.

The Tudors did find a leveller, however, in the 85th minute – a curling effort into the bottom right corner beating the Bees’ trialist keeper.
