MATCH PREVIEW | EBBSFLEET UNITED

The Bees travel to Kent to face Ebbsfleet United tomorrow afternoon at the Kuflink Stadium.

The Bees will be looking to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat at FC Halifax Town. But will face an Ebbsfleet side looking for a response from their opening day heavy defeat up in Gateshead.

Barnet FC:

Last time out it was FC Halifax Town that took the points from a close encounter in West Yorkshire. From a scoreless first half the Shaymen put themselves ahead through Jamie Cooke before a well worked attack shortly after allowed Ben Coker to grab the equaliser. Halifax responded almost instantly when Alimi-Adetoro poked the ball into the net to put the hosts ahead before seeing out the win.

Barnet last five results:

FC Halifax Town 2-1 Barnet FC

Barnet FC 2-0 AFC Wimbledon

Hornchurch FC 0-1 Barnet FC

Chelmsford City 1-1 Barnet FC

Hemel Hempstead 1-3 Barnet FC

Ebbsfleet United

Tomorrow’s hosts endured a difficult start to their league campaign after being defeated 5-1 at Gateshead last weekend. Goals from Whelan and Oseni as well as a hat-trick from Greg Olly put the Northeast side five up before a very late consolation from Dominic Poleon grabbed one back for the Fleet.

Ebbsfleet last five results:

Gateshead 5-1 Ebbsfleet

Ebbsfleet 1-1 Crawley Town

Welling 1-0 Ebbsfleet

Ebbsfleet 1-3 Cambridge United

Tonbridge 0-3 Ebbsfleet

In the opposite dugout:

Ebbsfleet are currently managed by Danny Searle who has been in permanent charge of the Fleet since February this year. He previously took on a brief spell of caretaker manager for two weeks before being appointed as permanent manager. Prior to his role at Ebbsfleet he took on coaching jobs at Braintree, Aldershot, Waterford as well as Banik Ostrava.

Ones to watch

Last season’s top scorer Dominic Poleon bagged 16 goals in the National League for his side who finished two points above the relegation zone last season. He is already off the mark again this season with his consolation goal at the Gateshead International Stadium last weekend.

Last time these two sides met:

The last time these two sides met was in last December when a late own goal from Ben Coker rescued a point for Ebbsfleet at the Kuflink Stadium. Nicke Kabamba opened the scoring just after half time before the unfortunate own goal denied the Bees all three points.
