Opposition Report
Currently sitting 3rd in the National League table, Bromley and Barnet have been pushing each other all season for the second spot. With two points between the London clubs now, Barnet make the short trip to Hayes Lane where they’ll need to put in a top performance if they want to progress to the next round.
Similar to The Bees, Bromley tend to play either a 5-3-2 with either a flat midfield or with a 10. Results recently have been a mixed bag, beating Chesterfield 4-3 but only scoring twice in their last three games.
One to Watch: Ben Krauhaus
Signing a contract with Brentford in January, Krauhaus is back on loan at Bromley for the rest of the season. The 19-year-old midfielder has started 34 league games this season for a reason.
On paper, Krauhaus starts as either the number 10 or right of a flat midfield three, but has the freedom to float around the pitch to find space. Occasionally dropping in deep to collect the ball, he is a creator who Woodman has shown a lot of faith in since joining the club.
In the Dugout: Andy Woodman
Krauhaus isn’t the only one at Bromley associated with Brentford- manager Andy Woodman made 61 league appearances for them between 1999 and 2001.
Playing in goal throughout his career, he also played for Northampton, Southend, and Colchester before retiring in 2006.
His management career started years later in 2017 with Whitehawk, playing 18 and winning six. He then joined Bromley in 2021 where his record improved to 72 wins in 158 games, including 239 goals for and 184 against.
