Gary Waddock: “They’re full of confidence”

Barnet Assistant First Team Coach Gary Waddock was pleased with his team’s work rate in the build up to this afternoon’s victory at The Hive.
Speaking after the 2-0 win over Exeter City, Gary said:
“There’s been a few changes here and the players have responded to it.
“It’s been really positive, so we’ve just got to keep that momentum going now.
“Josh Clarke did really well, and he’s been chipping in with goals as well – it’s another good performance from him.
“But you have to say that every member of the squad has worked extremely hard over the last few weeks to pick up these results and points.
“I thought Curtis Weston played extremely well – he probably covered every blade of grass on the pitch!
“You saw both sides to his game; he closed down and put them under pressure, and also showed quality in possession as well.
“So the changes have helped and have kept everybody working hard – that’s all that we ask.
“We can’t rest on our laurels – we’ve got to continue to push forward and work hard.
“Everything has been positive and every member of that group has contributed to it.
“When you’re winning football matches players gain confidence.
“There’s a nice feel about the place – there always has been.
“But winning football matches makes it that little bit nicer as well.
“At present they’re full of confidence."
