Barnet’s Under-21 side put in another impressive performance but were unable to avoid a 2-1 defeat against Charlton Athletic at the Valley.
Charlton, who continued their play-off push, took an early lead through Danny Hollands with Ade Azeez adding a second before half-time.
Iffy Allen pulled one back after the break and Ben Coker was denied late on by Dillon Phillips as the Addicks held on for the win.
Charlton trialist Osman Sow was involved in the first chance of the match as he controlled a chipped ball and fired wide under pressure from Michel Kuipers.
The Swedish forward then turned provider when his flick found Azeez who was quickly shut down by the Bees defence.
With 25 minutes played the home side took the lead when Morgan Fox’s corner was headed home by Hollands.
Kuipers was called into action once more with just over half an hour played when he denied Sow from close range.
However, he was unable to deny Azeez with ten minutes of the half remaining when the forward tapped home to give Fox his second assist.
After the break the Bees pulled one back when captain Jordan Brown charged down the left and found Allen who slotted the ball past Phillips.
Both sides had chances in the second half with the Bees’ best opportunity coming late on as Phillips denied Coker and the Bees a point.
