Barnet Under-18s wrapped up their Youth Alliance Cup Southern Group Campaign with a 2-1 victory over Swindon Town at the Hive on Tuesday afternoon.
Goals from Noye Richard and Ethan Goumal sealed victory for the Young Bees in what proved to be a strong performance against the Robins.
Academy Coach Jesek Ionut Dan was full of praise for the young lads following the victory, explaining: “The boys were excellent today, I was really pleased with our work ethic out of possession in the first half.
The boys took the information on board well, and their application was spot on.
In the second half, the opposition changed their formation, so we had to adapt from a 3-4-1-2 to a 4-2-3-1. The lads showed a good mentality and togetherness in the second half.
We kept probing and attacking, and eventually we got the win, we’re doing well in the cup and want to keep building on this momentum.
Well done to Noye and Ethan for their goals and well done to everyone involved.”
Our U18s are back in action this weekend, facing Cambridge United.
