BARNET FOOTBALL CLUB

MATCH PREVIEW | WOKING FC

The Bees host Woking FC at the Hive tomorrow afternoon at 3pm, looking to build on last weekend impressive comeback at Dagenham & Redbridge.

Barnet FC:

The Bees registered a memorable comeback for the 532 fans in attendance at Dagenham last Saturday. The hosts took a very early lead when Josh Umerah had the ball in the net after just 13 seconds. The Bees response was almost immediate when Idris Kanu took advantage of a loose ball in the box with the game level after just three minutes. The equaliser spurred Barnet on, and the second goal came, but for Dagenham when Romoney Critchlow received the ball in the six-yard box before placing the ball past Nick Hayes. Dagenham seemed to be cruising to three points when Ryan Hill added a third just minutes into the second half, but Brennan’s side were handed a lifeline with 25 minutes to go when Bailey Hobson was fouled in the box. Nicke Kabamba stepped up to half the deficit. Minutes later and Barnet were awarded another spot kick, this time after Myles Kenlock was brought down. Kabamba stepped up and made no mistake, bringing the scores level with 22 minutes to play. The momentum was building, and the final bullet came from substitute Rhys Browne when he fired the ball home from outside the box, rescuing what was an unlikely three points just 20 minutes before.
