Joe Kizzi becomes Dean Brennan’s seventh signing of the summer after joining the Club from Sutton United.
Kizzi spent the last 3 seasons at the U’s in League 2, who finished their campaign in 23rd place and were sadly relegated back down to the National League.
As one of their key players, Kizzi hardly missed a minute of play last season and was voted Players’ Player of the Year in each of his first two seasons with Sutton.
The experienced centre back joins Barnet on a 3 year contract for an undisclosed fee.
Upon signing his contract with Barnet, Kizzi said:
“I’m really excited to get going.
I needed a fresh start and at a Club that’s only going in one direction and that’s up!
I want to help get us back into the Football League.”
Barnet FC Manager, Dean Brennan, said:
“Joe is player I have worked with earlier on in both our careers.
I have tracked him for many years now and know he’ll be a real leader within our team. His attributes suit our philosophy; he wants to defend, he’s very athletic, brilliant leadership skills and reads the game superbly.
He is excellent in both boxes and the timing of this transfer suits all parties. We welcome Joe to our Club.”
Welcome to Barnet, Joe.
The deal is subject to the usual FA and League clearances.
