Barnet Football Club are pleased to announce the signing of full-back James Pearson.
The defender arrives at The Hive on a non-contract basis.
He has previously played for Leicester City, as well as enjoying loan spells at Carlisle United and Wrexham.
The 23-year-old revealed that he was delighted to have joined the Bees, when he spoke to barnetfc.com this afternoon:
“I’m very happy to have signed for Barnet,” he said.
“Now it’s time to get going and to get some games under my belt.
“I’m a defender – either a right back or a centre half, but my preferred position is right back.
“I’m quite an attacking full back, but I’m defensively solid as well.
“I like getting the ball in the box and helping the team score goals, but your main job as a defender is obviously to defend – I like to think I’m not bad at that as well!
“I spoke to the manager and he was looking to give me a chance and see what I’m all about.
“I’m delighted and very grateful that he’s given me an opportunity to prove what I can do – to play at this level with Barnet, and to potentially progress further with this club in the future.
“It’s a great set up here – the facilities are fantastic.
“The pitches are in good condition, even with the amount of rain that we’ve had recently.
“There are better facilities here than at some Championship clubs.
“The fan base is quite good, the facilities are great, there’s a good team and a good manager.
“So I can’t see why this club can’t eventually progress to the higher divisions of the Football League.”
