Joe Payne had an unforgettable evening against Enfield Town on Monday, opening his Barnet account with a stunning halfway line effort.
The left-back, 17, who is part of Dean Selvey’s Under-18 squad, spotted Towners keeper Nathan McDonald off his line, took aim and lobbed the stopper from just inside Enfield’s half.
That strike put Barnet 3-2 ahead on the night but the Bees then shipped a late equaliser to force penalties with Enfield prevailing 6-5 from the spot.
