Barnet Football Club will be holding trials for places on our Under-18 Development squad next month.

So, if you’re under 18 and think you’ve got what it takes to play for the Bees’ Under-18s read on.

Programme Outline

The program is a 2-year course that combines elite football development with a 2-year BTEC course in Sports Studies or an A-level programme.

The development squads will shadow the schedule of the Youth Team, with opportunities to step up and play Youth Team football.

Where will I study?

Unlike similar programmes, all teaching and on-field sessions will be held at The Hive, Barnet Football Club’s s multi-million pound training facility based in Edgware, north London.

The education programme will be delivered by a teacher alongside an on-site education partner. The field sessions will take place on state-of-the-art 3G astro-turf pitches and will be coached by UEFA qualified staff currently working within the Barnet FC Academy.

Education Programme

The course covers a variety of elements which include; anatomy, physiology of fitness, fitness training, sports coaching, fitness testing, technical/tactical skills in sport, sports nutrition, psychology for sports performance, performance analysis and talent ID. 

Schedule

Players will get a full time football programme including fixtures in a competitive league and/or against professional development squads.
