Barnet secured their second consecutive win in the Vanarama Conference against Bristol Rovers on Tuesday night to maintain their position at the top of the table.

Barnet are one of just five teams to have won both of their opening games, with Eastleigh and Aldershot both having the chance to join the club when they play each other on Thursday night.

Gateshead now sit second behind the Bees having claimed a convincing 3-0 win away at Wrexham with Halifax third after beating Southport 3-1 at The Shay. Also on six points are Macclesfield, who beat Conference newcomers AFC Telford in a 3-2 thriller, and Forest Green who defeated Chester 2-1.

Barnet’s next opponents are Lincoln City, who come to The Hive on Saturday on the back of a 2-1 win away at Altrincham last night.
