Barnet FC are pleased to announce that Mauro Vilhete, Jack Taylor and Nana Kyei have all signed new long term contract extensions with club.
The three players have committed their foreseeable futures to the Bees, by putting pen to paper at The Hive this morning.
First team regular Vilhete, 23, is closing in on 150 appearances for Barnet and is excited at the prospect of making many more appearances in a black and amber shirt:
“I’m really looking forward to pushing on and hopefully getting promotion with the team,” he said.
“I think I’ve been doing quite well recently, but I’m trying to make sure that I keep playing at that level consistently.
“We managed to win on Tuesday, so now everyone just wants to keep going and to win as many games as we can until the end of the season.”
Taylor, 18, was delighted with the news, saying:
“I’m happy to finally finalise everything so that I can really step on from here.
“I’m looking to gradually become more confident as a player, score more goals and generally help the team play better overall.
“I was pleased to break into the starting line-up for a few games, but then it’s been a slight downer with my recent injury.
“I’m sure that I’m going to come back stronger though, and will soon be ready to start playing well again.”
Fellow youngster Kyei, 19, was similarly pleased:
“I’m very happy to sign a new deal – it’s always good to get it out of the way and focus on playing football again,” he said.
“It’s been pleasing to play for the first team in recent weeks.
“I think I’ve been doing alright and I really want to kick on now.
“I want to play as well as I can over the coming months – to try and get into the team every week, score goals and win games.”
Everyone at Barnet Football Club are delighted to see all three players extend their stay with the Bees, and wish them all the best for the rest of the season and beyond!
