Barnet FC can confirm the signing of goalkeeper Raphael Spiegel on a one-month loan deal from Premier League side West Ham United.
The 21-year-old Swiss began his professional career with Super League side Grasshopper 2010, although his only appearances came whilst out on loan at Brühl during the 2011/12 season.
The young shot stopper, who has represented Switzerland up to U21 level, joined West Ham in the summer of 2012 where he has played for the Hammers’ U21 side as well as working as understudy for experienced duo Jussi Jaaskelainen and Adrián.
Raphael spent a short spell on loan at League One side Crawley Town at the start of this season without turning out for the Reds, meaning that his time with the Bees will see him get his first taste of senior football in England.
Everybody at the club would like to wish Raphael a warm welcome to The Hive.
