The BBC were in town on Friday to film an episode of Silent Witness at The Hive.
The episode, which is due to air in early 2014, is centred around fictional Premier League side Thames City Football Club.
Filming took place inside and outside at The Hive and despite the producers desire to film at a top flight training ground they selected Barnet’s new home due to its superb facilities.
The story develops after a women is found dead on a barge in the Thames where mysterious grass clippings are found that are specific to that of a professional football pitch.
Further filming will be taking place at The Emirates and The Valley, homes of Arsenal and Charlton Athletic*.
Site manager John Blasebalk said: “It is a credit to The Hive and everybody associated with it that the BBC opted for our facilities to film one of its most highly-rated shows.
“Despite their initial plan to seek out the facilities of a Premier League club we were approached by the producers who concluded that The Hive was second to none.
“There continues to be a positive energy around the place and despite the disappointment of last weekend we’re continuing to grow off the pitch.”
