The Bees’ number 10 came off the bench to net in stoppage time after Jack McKnight cancelled out Jack Taylor’s 16th minute opener.
After the game, Coulthirst reflected on his winner but admits he’s still focusing on regaining full fitness.
“It was something for the lads to enjoy, I know we’ve been working hard and we’ve got a few draws recently so I’m happy to come on and change the game and give us the win.
“I’ve had a difficult pre-season with injuries but I’m feeling a bit better now but I’m not at 100% yet.
“It’s good to get minutes when I can and I’ve been lucky enough to score.
“I think there’s been a few games recently where we’ve deserved the three points and not quite had that little bit at the end, but we got a last-minute winner and we’ll take it on to the next game.”
The striker then highlighted the confidence amongst the camp and claims the boys feel like they can beat anyone in the division.
“We’re a confident bunch of lads. I think, when it comes to the games, we pretty much feel like we can beat anyone in the league.
“There isn’t a place we come to where we feel we should earn a point. The confidence is in the lads, it’s just that we get a bit of luck sometimes.”
Eastleigh concluded a tough August for the Bees and Coulthirst gave his review of the opening month of the season.
“We feel we could have won more games, but we’ve had a tough month.
“There has been a lot of good teams that we’ve played, teams that people thought were going to be up there towards the end of the season.
“We’ll take this break and hopefully come back and get more points.”
