Barnet FC is thrilled to welcome Sam Woods to the Club on a permanent deal!

Having come through Crystal Palace’s youth system, Woods was sent out on loan to Hamilton Academical in 2020, where he made three appearances and scored on his debut against Livingston.

The 23-year-old defensive midfielder also brings EFL experience into the ranks following a short loan spell at Plymouth Argyle last season, which saw him play nine times for the League One side.

Woods was released from Crystal Palace in the summer, after his contract expired.

Dean Brennan said: “We have been tracking Sam since day one back in June but we have had to be patient. 

“I know what Sam is all about and his attributes will bring our squad what we have been looking for in that department.”

We’re delighted to welcome Sam to the Club and he has been issued the No. 28 shirt.

The deal is subject to the usual regulatory processes.
