We are delighted to announce that Sam Beard has signed a new long-term deal at the club!

Beard initially joined the Bees on loan during the 2020/21 season before signing a permanent deal last summer.

During his first full season at The Hive London, the defender was a regular within the team and picked up the Barnet Supporters’ Association award for November and January.

His consistent performances earned him a call up to the England C squad in March, where he started in the Three Lions’ game against Wales C.

The 24-year-old was also recognised for his efforts throughout last season when he was presented with the Most Improved Player at the End of Season awards evening.

Dean Brennan said: “We are pleased that Sam has signed a new deal and he has certainly deserved it.

“He has been really reliable for us and will continue to be a key player at the club across the coming seasons.”

Beard added: “I am happy to have signed a new contract extension and now look forward to kicking on next season.”

We would like to congratulate Sam on his new deal and look forward to continue watching him in Black and Amber over the coming years.

The deal is subject to the usual regulatory processes.
