Ruben Bover becomes signing number seven

Barnet Football Club are pleased to announce the signing of Spanish midfielder Ruben Bover Izquierdo.
The 24-year-old has impressed on trial at The Hive London and subsequently signed a contract with the Bees.
A central midfielder who can play as an attacking midfielder too, Bover plays between the lines and looks to play forward all the time.
Born in Mallorca, Bover began his professional career with his hometown club before moving to England to join Kidderminster Harriers in 2009.
From there he moved to Halesowen Town before earning a deal further up the ladder at Charlton Athletic.
Bover made his professional debut for the Addicks in a League Cup in August 2011 in a win over Reading and played in the next round against Preston North End.
In 2013 he crossed the pond to join New York Red Bulls and made 23 MLS appearances for the club, playing alongside Thierry Henry, Tim Cahill and Shaun Wright-Phillips at the Red Bull Arena.
However, in 2015 he was waived and moved to NY Cosmos where he scooped the National Premier Soccer League MVP award as the Cosmos B team won the title.
His performances for the second string saw him moved into the first team and he helped the Cosmos win the NASL Championship in 2015 and 2016.
