Rossi Eames & Henry Newman: We want to continue positive momentum

Rossi Eames and Henry Newman are relishing the prospect of two games in three days as Barnet end 2016 at Luton Town before hosting Plymouth Argyle in their first fixture of 2017.
EFL sides usually play on Boxing Day and December 28. However, the calendar has fallen differently this year meaning there are two games in three days over the new year instead.
Barnet go into Saturday’s game at Luton (3pm kick off) after a 2-1 win at Cheltenham Town on Boxing Day and the Bees’ interim management team are keen to get back to business at Kenilworth Road.
“It’s a process but it’s been a positive process,” Eames said. “Winning games is the best thing about football; it keeps the momentum and positive vibe of the squad onto the next game and we want to carry that on.”
Newman continued: “To be honest, it’s rare when you’re sat in our seat that you don’t want games – particularly when you’re on a good run of form.
“Hopefully we’ll have a good performance on New Year’s Eve, we want a bright, short and sharp training session on New Year’s Day and to be ready to go again on January in front of our home fans.
“The players are looking forward to it, both games are going to be a big challenge and Luton will be in front of a big crowd but we’re performing excellently away from home.”
