Rossi Eames: “A massive team performance”

Rossi Eames described Barnet’s 1-0 win over EFL League Two leaders Plymouth Argyle as a “massive team performance” after toppling the Pilgrims for the second time this season.
Mauro Vilhete scored the only goal of the game after 15 minutes, meeting Nana Kyei’s corner and flicking a deft header beyond Argyle keeper Luke McCormick.
Speaking after the win, Eames said: “Over the moon is the phrase – which I think is used in football quite a bit!
“It was an absolutely fantastic performance in and out of possession.
“The amount of chances we created was excellent and the signings who came in where tremendous today.
“I will watch the DVD back tonight – hopefully my missus won’t mind! From watching it in the dugout the amount of chances we created was pleasing.”
There was special praise for two of the new combinations in the Bees’ starting XI with Ricardo Santos partnering Michael Nelson at centre half and Simeon Akinola playing off John Akinde up front.
“Simeon Akinola and John Akinde up front were an excellent combination today,” Eames said. “The wide men were fantastic; Curtis Weston and Jack Taylor too.
“Michael Nelson was absolutely unbelievable. Ricardo Santos came in and worked with him and did fantastic. And both full-backs were excellent. It was a massive team performance today.”
