Ross Eames: “They are developing every session”

Ross Eames’ Barnet side will take on Oxford United at The Hive on Tuesday and says his group of players are developing with every session.

A young Bees side, which also included senior players Tom Champion, Jamie Stephens and Alie Sesay, beat Southend United 2-1 a fortnight ago at The Hive.

And Eames’ team will be looking for a similar performance and result when they face the U’s on Tuesday in their latest fixture.

Speaking ahead of the game, he said: "It was lively today. The boys have come off the back of the Southend performance and have been in a really good way since then.

"Prior to that, training has been very good, the attitude has been excellent and they have been learning and developing every session.

"They are learning to play different position and in different formations. They are in a good place, in a good mood and raring to go tomorrow.

"Training wasn’t too intense today. We touched on small bits like set pieces, which are a big part of our game now. Going into senior football they have got to learn the nitty gritty side of it.

"There was a bit of fun in there as well – head tennis and two-touch – so I quite liked today."
