Steve McLaren’s side enjoyed much of the possesion in the first half, creating a host of opportunites with several falling to big front-man Matt Smith.
The Hoops took the lead in the 26th minute as Barnet lost control of the ball in their final third. It fell to Ebere Eze who beautifully looped the ball over Cousins into the top left corner.
With less than 10 minutes to go until the break, the hosts doubled their lead as Matt Smith finally found a way past Cousins, rising highest at the far post.
John Still opted to change the side completely at the break and following the restart, Fumnaya Shomotun dribbled his way through the QPR defence only to be stopped by ‘keeper Matt Ingram.
Shomotun was again involved down the right, he played in Dwight Pascal who crossed in well to one of our Trialists, but his effort went narrowly wide.
QPR added a third with six minuted to play when a neat move was finished excellently first time by Ilias Chair high into the top-left corner of he goal.
