Barnet took he lead in just the fourth minute of the match. Byron Harrison’s header found the feet of Jack Barham on the edge of the box. He made space for himself before curling the ball into the top right corner.
The Bees doubled their lead in the 26th minute of the game. Harrison lead a counter attack and played in Jack Taylor to his left. His cross goal shot was saved and the ball fell to Barham. He lifted a cross into the unmarked Harrison who headed home under the crossbar.
Dover’s best chance of the first half came from a George Smith free kick. His effort it the wall but it came back in towards the head of Schmoll but he was met by Mark Cousins.
After the break, Aryan Tajbakhsh picked up a loose ball in the midfield. He floated cross into the box but this was comfortable for Cousins in the Barnet goal to claim.
Mitch Walker was forced into a good low save away to his left as he parried away Charlee Adams’ low half volley from the edge of the box.
In the 65th minute, Dover’s pressure played off when Mitch Brundle had a free header and rose highest at the far post to score.
10 minutes later, Barham rounded the Dover goalkeeper but was brought down by Schmoll but with another man in white back, was shown just a yellow.
Cousins was called into action again when Brundle’s free kick looked certain to nestle in the bottom right corner.
On the counter, Wes Fonguck raced down on goal after a good passing move from the Bees, but he took too long to get a shot away and Walker smothered.
Cheye Alexander struck the upright before substitute Josh Walker had an effort deflected just wide.
In stoppage time Harrison played through Walker but he was tight to the goal line and could only win a corner, from which Barnet saw out the game.
