MANAGER at Melbourne Stadium is Mark Hawkes. He has had previous experience at Heybridge Swifts and replaced previous manager Dean Holdsworth in November 2013.

BRIEF DIRECTIONS BY ROAD:

From Junction 28 of the M25 take the A12 sign-posted Chelmsford. After approximately nine miles take the exit sign-posted Chelmsford/Harlow A414. Continue along this road for two miles until you reach the first of two roundabouts. Go straight across the first roundabout  and at the second roundabout take the first left, signposted Chelmsford Crematorium/Widford Industrial Area following the signs for the Town Centre and Hospital A&E.

At traffic lights take the A1060( Rainsford Road) go straight on at first set of lights and at the second set of lights get into the right-hand filter lane and turn right. This is Chignall Road.   Soon you will reach Melbourne Avenue where you turn right and then turn first left into Salerno Way and the stadium.

CAR PARKING:

There are spaces available at the Stadium but they are for early, street parking is also available but limited. Chelmsford are requesting that visiting fans use car parking and then public transport from the Town Centre. The numbers 54 and 56 buses run to the ground and the journey should take around 15 minutes. The Bus Station, which is situated on Duke Street.

DIRECTIONS BY TRAIN:

Chelmsford Railway Station is served by trains from London Liverpool Street. A taxi is the best option other than the aforementioned buses. A taxi rank can be found behind the station and the fare to the stadium should be around £6.

SUPPORTERS COACH:

The Supporters’ Coach will leave The Hive at 12 midday with earlier pick up points at Potters Bar Station. Barnet (3 separate places), Whetstone and Edgware starting from Potters Bar at 11.00am. The price is £20. return. EATING AND DRINKING LOCALLY:

The nearest pub to the stadium the Red Beret on Melbourne Avenue while another option is The Flyer which is part of the Hungry Horse chain found on Copperfield Road.

SOCIAL CLUB:

The Clarets Bar is open from 11.30am and offers an extensive bar menu too. Early birds can experience a Full English Breakfast served up until 1.00pm while pints are on special at £2.50.
