Barnet 2 – 0 Bradford City
In a game of many chances, the Bees took theirs and the visitors did not.
Two goals, one either side of half-time, sealed an excellent victory for Barnet at Underhill.
Taiwo Atieno gave the Bees the lead in his first start for the club, tapping in at close range from an Elliot Johnson cross just before the break.
In the first few minutes of the second half Bradford missed a golden opportunity to draw level. Within a matter of seconds Barnet had gone up the other end and doubled their lead through John Oster; the midfielder slotting home from a Ricky Holmes assist.
The away side pressed for a goal and had a number of opportunities but rarely troubled Graham Stack in the Bees goal.
