Kevin Nugent is expecting another tough game at the weekend as his team take on a Crawley Town side that sit just three points behind the Bees.
Having re grouped after last weekends frustrating trip to Stanley, Nugent will have his side fully prepared to get their first win under his stewardship.
Nugent’s preparation for the next match begins immediately, often on the team bus home with his backroom staff.
As soon as the Stanley game was over, Kevin’s mind turned to the challenge of Crawley.
“We started straight after the game, looking at their games.”
After a recovery day midweek, the teams training turns tactical on Thursday and Friday with sessions designed specifically for the weekends opponents Crawley.
“We’ll come in Thursday and be looking at more tactical work.”
Crawley are a team that Kevin knows well having worked with some of their players in the past.
They’re a side that he knows what to expect from.
“I know Crawley. Dermot Drummy has put a good team together. They try to play a certain style of football.”
And that style is one that the Bees will be prepared for.
“They’ll be organised. They’re strong on set pieces. They’ve got ability with a little bit of freedom.”
Kevin went on to highlight Crawley’s set up and their approach going forward.
“They play with a structure. They have wide players who’ll look to take people on and get crosses in the box.”
Kevin and his side are excited for the challenge of another classic League Two battle in front of a home crowd.
“It’s gonna be a tough game for us, but it’s one we’re really looking forward to.”
