N’GALA ON PLYMOUTH RETURN

On loan Stevenage defender Bondz N’Gala is hoping that Barnet can build on their win over Southend United when they visit his former club Plymouth Argyle on Saturday.
The centre-back joined the Pilgrims on a three-month loan from West Ham United in 2010 before penning a permanent deal with the club soon after.
Before making the trip West barnetfc.com caught up with the 23-year-old to look back on a fine win and look forward to what will hopefully be another.
“It was a very good win on Tuesday night and we kept another clean sheet so all the boys are very happy about that.
“It is a massive game but right now every game is massive for us, hopefully we can build on our last performance and secure another three points.”
N’Gala progressed through West Ham United’s Academy of Football before joining the Pilgrims and he thoroughly enjoyed his time there.
“I had a three-month loan spell with Plymouth Argyle before signing permanently so it will be good to go back.
“It was the first club I played for after leaving West Ham United and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there.”
The defender left the club after just one-year due to their financial struggles but despite this he still holds a special place for the Devonshire based club.
“I had to leave the club at the end of my first season because they were not in a very good position financially but despite this I had a lot of good memories.
“It is a beautiful city and they gave me the opportunity to play football so I am very grateful to them for that.”
Since N’Gala joined on loan the Bees are yet to concede a goal and despite a little added pressure he is hoping to continue this run on Saturday.
“I am really enjoying my time at Barnet. Tuesday night was my second match at home and once again the supporters were great.
“Like you said we haven’t conceded yet so cheers for putting some extra pressure on and let’s hope you haven’t jinxed it,” joked N’Gala. “Hopefully we can continue it on Saturday!”
