News | Scott Loach agrees to sign for the Bees

Loach will become Darren Currie’s first summer addition and arrives with a whole host of experience across both the Football League and National League.

Most notably, the former Hartlepool United stopper made over 150 appearances for Watford before representing the likes of Ipswich Town, Bury, Peterborough United and Notts County.

A mainstay in the Monkey Hangers’ net, Loach is yet to miss a league game over the past two seasons, going onto make 100 consecutive appearances for Hartlepool following their 3-2 win over Salford City in April 2019.

Darren Currie is delighted with Loach’s arrival and is hoping he can bring something different to the team.

He said: “Really pleased to get it done and get him over the line. He had one or two options in the league but thankfully he’s chosen us.

“We’ve had a number of conversations over recent weeks and he feels this is the right place for him to play.

“He comes in with a wealth of experience, he’s a good size and brings one or two things that I felt we needed in terms of how we will organise the back four.”
