News | Michael Nelson to depart

Speaking on Twitter, Nelson, who made over 100 appearances for the Bees, many of which as captain, has said: “A massive thank you to everyone at the club, teammates, staff & fans.

“You have all made my 3 years at the club memorable & enjoyable. I have made some great friends both on & off the pitch who I know will remain friends for a very long time.

“After playing 107 games, coaching the U23’s & also having a stint as assistant manager for the club the time has come to move on.

“It was a massive honour to captain your club & it will always have a place in my heart.”

We would like to thank Michael for his time and efforts across his three seasons at the club.
