Petrasso makes the move to The Hive London, having already had the experience of playing in the Football League for the likes of QPR, Oldham Athletic and Leyton Orient.
The 25-year-old has enjoyed an exciting playing career to date, having represented his country at senior level on nine occasions. He made his international debut back in 2016 in a friendly against Azerbaijan and has represented Canada at various youth levels.
Our new man can play on either side of the pitch as a winger and gives Peter Beadle extra depth for what is set to be a busy few months of National League action.
Petrasso began his career as an academy player in Toronto before making the move to London to continue his development at QPR, where he went on to make 13 senior appearances. Loan moves to Oldham Athletic, Leyton Orient, Coventry City and Notts County followed, allowing the winger to gain invaluable experience of English Football.
A return to his home country followed, where he made the move to MLS to play for Montreal Impact, making 16 appearances during his time with the Club.
After settling down in the Canadian Premier League, Petrasso joined his parent Club York9 FC back in January of this year, where he recently signed a two-year contract extension.
He now joins the Bees on a season long loan deal and will hope to add quality in wide areas for Peter Beadle.
Petrasso will be following all necessary entry requirements ahead of joining up with his new teammates at The Hive London.
We’d like to welcome Michael to the Club and we look forward to seeing him in action soon!
