Michael Gash nominated for Player of the Month!

Barnet FC striker Michael Gash has been nominated for the September Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month Award.

The Bees forward has scored four goals in five games.

He will be up against:

Matt Crooks (Accrington Stanley) – midfielder
Converted from a forward without a league goal to a deep-lying midfielder and a cult hero who scores, with two stroked long-range efforts against Crawley Town and Yeovil Town. His ability to nick the ball away in a tackle has been equally impressive.

Michael Harriman (Wycombe Wanderers) – full-back
Began September on the right wing and ended it at right-back. Not that it stopped him driving forward and whipping in dangerous crosses. As well as solid defensive work, his three goals included a 25-yard winner against Cambridge United.

Krystian Pearce (Mansfield Town) – central defender
Since he was signed from non-league Torquay, the 25-year-old has quickly become the mainstay of a defence which conceded just two goals in five games. Immense against Plymouth Argyle and Stevenage, organising the back line and mopping up superbly.

The judging panel comprises Sky Sports’ Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League Head of Communications John Nagle; League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery.

Everyone at Barnet FC would like to wish Michael the best of luck, and hope that he is successful when the winner is announced on Friday October 9th 2015.
