MATCHDAY SPONSOR | SPORTING INSPIRATIONS CIC

Sporting Inspirations is a not- for- profit Community Interest Company (CIC). Our main aim is to work with young people in their local environment to encourage greater participation in positive activities to create safer and healthier communities.  We act as a catalyst to transform young people’s lives by improving their physical, social and emotional well-being of individuals from all backgrounds.

Our key objectives are:

  • Empower young people to participate in free positive activities in their local communities.
  • Improve young people’s physical, social and emotional wellbeing through participation in positive activities and empower them to make healthier choices.
  • Reduce Youth Anti-Social Behaviour, alcohol and drug related issues and crime.
  • Creating supportive environments for young people to volunteer and improve their employability prospects.
  • Provide mentoring support for young people to maximise their full potential.

We deliver projects in London, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Essex for young people from ages of 8 to 25.  This includes sports sessions, youth projects, events and holiday provision working with young people in socially deprived areas of all backgrounds and abilities including the homeless and refugees.  We have an amazing, experienced team that is highly skilled, committed and passionate about supporting the communities that we work with.

We have received many accolades over the years. Our Chief Executive Officer, John Manitara, recently received a Personal Award from the High Sheriff of Hertfordshire for being the driving force behind the brilliant work and enormous contribution to ‘Sport for Good’ across the County.  Similarly, our Chief Operations Officer, Russell Cairns, was commended for his ‘inspirational’ work with young people in the Houses of Parliament when Josh Dean, MP for Hertford and B Stortford stated that ‘I can say with confidence that had it not been for the support and guidance of a youth worker named Russell Cairns I would not be in this chamber today’

Throughout 2025 we successfully delivered 60 projects/events, with 30,183 positive engagements, supporting 8,178 unique beneficiaries and collaborated with 37 project partners.  We are continually looking to develop work in the local area with new partners who share our vision.
