Dean Brennan’s side secured two victories in two separate 60-minute matches – beating Wingate & Finchley 3-0 and then 2-1 at The Maurice Rebak Stadium.
The first chance of the opening match came in the 9th minute after Dale Gorman’s corner was headed onto the crossbar by Moussa Diarra before eventually being claimed by the Wingate ‘keeper.
The Bees opened the scoring in the 13th minute after the defence launched the ball forward to Nicke Kabamba who knocked it down to Ryan De Havilland for him to strike low and hard into the bottom left corner.
Shortly afterwards, Dean Brennan’s side almost added a second when De Havilland played a precise ball through to Daniel Powell inside the area who forced a fingertip save from the goalkeeper with a low shot across goal.
In the 26th minute Wingate & Finchley had a golden opportunity to level when they delivered an inviting ball into the box to a striker who turned it over from two-yards out.
The visitors doubled their lead in the 33rd minute when Jamar Loza’s initial effort was parried out to Harry Pritchard whose shot took a deflection off Kabamba before going in.
Dean Brennan’s side found the back of the net for a third time in the 49th minute when Gorman’s free-kick into the box from the right flank was headed into the top left corner by Ben Wynter.

Wingate equalised just before the interval as Joe Dearman picked up the ball from 25-yards out before firing high over Trialist A and into the top corner.
