MATCH REPORT | SOLIHULL MOORS 4-3 BARNET FC | NATIONAL LEAGUE

Barnet’s seven game winning run came to an end at
Solihull Moors this afternoon.

The Bees started the game with consecutive corners. The first
finding the had of Adebola Oluwo at the back-post who headed back across goal
into the path of Ryan Glover, but the ball was well defended behind.

Solihull registered the first shot of the game when Stevenson
fired from outside the box, finding the side netting.

Barnet looked to grab an early goal and came close when
Callum Stead’s ball through to Harry Chapman in the box allowed the number 12
to get a shot off at goal, but Walker was equal to the effort.

The early pressure paid off when the Bees won the ball back
inside the Solihull half before Nicke Kabamba received the ball before rifling
a shot into the bottom left-hand corner to give Barnet the lead.

Chapman was next to have a go at goal for the Bees, but his
ambitious effort flew wide of the right-hand post.

Solihull grew into the first half and came close when Bowen’s
shot on the half volley from outside the box had to be well defended and
cleared away.

The hosts levelled the game up when a free kick was swung in
towards the back post and there was Jack Stevens who jumped highest to direct
the ball into the net.

In a matter of minutes Solihull had turned the game on its head
when a cross from the right-hand side was flicked on by Stevenson before the
ball fell back to the Solihull man before bouncing into the net.

Half Time 2-1

The Moors started the second half how they ended the first, a
ball fed through down the left-hand side to Sam Bowen who rounded Nick Hayes in
the box before placing the ball into the net to give the hosts a two-goal
cushion.

Solihull looked to catch the Bees on the break again when
two ran through on goal but the final pass just got away from Stevens who fired
a shot into the side netting.

Substitute Gale added a fourth goal for Solihull when the
ball was fed through from the right-hand side and there was the Moors man to
poke to ball past Hayes.

Zak Brunt got one back in the 92nd minute when
his rocket of a shot found the top left-hand corner from outside the box.

Nicke Kabamba brought the difference down to one goal when he found space to place the ball in from inside the box.

Despite some late chances, Barnet couldn’t break down the
Solihull back line once more to grab the equaliser with the hosts taking all three points.
