A penalty converted by Joe Jacobson put the visitors in front before Luke O’Nein’s free-kick made sure Gareth Ainsworth’s men came away with maximum points.
The visitors came close on the 23rd minute when Nick Freeman’s left footed drive was safely palmed out for a corner by Craig Ross.
The bees had a glorious chance to go one-up just past the half-hour mark when Curtis Weston’s header across goal following a Ruben Bover free-kick fell to John Akinde whose close range effort cannoned off the bar.
Wycombe came close moments before the break when Freeman burst down the left flank and crossed it into Bloomfield who couldn’t convert the header.
The Chairboys took the lead through a 51st minute penalty slotted home by Jacobson after Craig Mackail-Smith was brought down in the box by Watson.
It could have got worse for the Bees 11 minutes later when Tafari Moore tried his luck from the edge of the box but it well dealt with by Ross.
However, it did get worse for the hosts with 20 minutes remaining when O’Nein’s curling free-kick rustled the back of the Barnet net to double the Chairboys’ lead.
Wycombe could have gone three-up with five minutes of normal time remaining but Adebayo Akinfenwa’s close-range effort didn’t trouble the Barnet keeper.
Despite late pressure from Barnet, including a strike from distance by Brindley, the Chairboys maintained their clean sheet and claimed all three points.
