The fixtures are coming thick and fast for the Bees at the moment and once again they find themselves on the road making the short journey to the Kingsfield Stadium where they will come up against Woking FC.
In their last runout, the Bees drew 1-1 against fellow play-off chasers Stockport County having led within 10 minutes after a Simeon Akinola penalty but on the stroke of half-time, Ash Palmer levelled the scores and the points were shared between the two sides.
Darren Currie’s side will hope to be able to get all three points as with games in hand, they are only four points from the play-offs.
The Cardinals
Manager: Alan Dowson
Form: LDDWW
League Position: 8th (55 points)
Top Scorer: Jake Hyde (16 goals)
The Cardinals sit just outside of the play-offs after having a strong season so far in the Vanarama National League.
On Saturday, Woking FC travelled to Halifax Town in an important fixture between the two sides fighting for a play-off position at the end of the season. It was the Cardinals who took home the three points after winning 2-0 through goals from Max Kretzschmar and the prolific Jake Hyde.
With a game in hand over the team currently sitting in 7th, manager Alan Dowson will be looking to get as many points on the board as the season reaches its end.
The Gaffer: Alan Dowson
Before management, Alan Dowson began his footballing career as a player in the youth setup of Millwall before playing for teams such as Bradford City, Darlington and Slough Town.
His managerial career started with Walton & Hersham where his side finished runners-up in his debut season. Following this, he managed both Kingstonian and Hampton & Richmond Borough, where he was joined by Premier League commentator Martin Tyler as part of the backroom staff. In May 2018, he was appointed as Woking FC manager where he achieved promotion with his side from the National League South last season.
Top Scorer: Jake Hyde (16 goals)
The 29-year-old started his career at youth level with Swindon Town who he never made an appearance for before signing for the Bees in 2009 where in 34 appearances, he managed six goals.
He left the Bees the following season where he played for teams such as Hayes & Yeading United, Dunfermline Athletic and Dundee before a second spell at Barnet where in the 2012/13 season, he finished as the Bees’ top scorer.
Now, Hyde plays for Tuesday’s opponents Woking FC where he has scored 16 goals in the Vanarama National League with hide chasing a top 7 place.

Last time we met: Barnet 2-2 Woking
It was a thrilling encounter the last time we faced tonight’s hosts, the Cardinals went into a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Ben Gerring and Mark Shelton. However, Currie’s team fought back as Mauro Vilhete halved the deficit before Ephron Mason-Clark headed home with 97 minutes on the clock to make sure the spoils were shared.
