ONE TO WATCH

Paddy Madden

The Hatters’ top goalscorer started his career in Ireland where he scored 14 goals in 53 games for Bohemians before joining Carlisle United in 2011.

After a loan spell to Yeovil Town, he made the move permanent in 2013 where he helped the side to promotion into the Championship with 24 goals – the highest of any player in the league.

Madden later joined where he enjoyed a successful spell – winning promotion to League One in his first season at the Club. He plied his trade there for four years, scoring 60 goals in 196 appearances for the Iron.

A 149-game spell at Fleetwood Town followed, before joining Stockport County in March 2021.

Standing at 6ft tall, Madden has international experience after donning the Republic of Ireland shirt in 2013 and provides an aerial threat.

The 31-year-old also possesses a proven finishing ability that has been shown throughout his 13-year playing career.
