Tuesday 30th August 2016 – KO 7:45pm

Team News: Martin Allen hinted that there could be a few changes for the Bees’ trip to Milton Keynes in his post-match interview on Saturday. MK Dons manager Karl Robinson has indicated that the League One club will name a strong side for Tuesday night’s cup clash.

Last Time We Met: Barnet haven’t played the Dons since January 2008, when Paul Fairclough’s Bees won 1-0 at Stadium MK. Ismail Yakabu’s 22nd minute strike was enough to send all three points back to London, following a shock victory against the League Two leaders. Barnet’s team that day included Neal Bishop, Joe Devera and Jason Puncheon, while Bees legends Lee Harrison and Giuliano Grazioli were on the bench.  Jude Sterling was in that MK Dons side – he later played under Martin Allen for Barnet (on loan) in 2012.

Opposition Form: It has been a mixed August for MK Dons; winning two, losing two and drawing one of their five league games to date. The team enjoyed some success in the EFL Cup, beating Newport County at Rodney Parade (3-2) but then lost on penalties (4-2) to Reading in the next round. The Dons are currently 12th in the League One table.

Dangerman: Dean Bowditch has been something of a cup specialist during the early stages of this season; he has three goals so far (making him the Dons’ top scorer), but all of them have come in EFL Cup matches. The former Ipswich Town forward has now made over 200 appearances for MK Dons, scoring 42 goals. Dean’s older brother Ben briefly played for Barnet in 2005-06.

Last Time Out: Karl Robinson’s side lost 2-0 at home to Peterborough United on Saturday. Andrew Hughes put the Posh into a 2nd minute lead before Michael Bostock’s second half strike made sure of all three points.
